About WatchFilms

WatchFilms is a movie and TV discovery site. It helps you find something to watch, learn the basics about it, and see which legal services offer it in your country. It is written in American English and aimed first at viewers in the United States, but streaming availability can be checked for many other countries.

What you can do here

  • Browse trending, top-rated, upcoming and in-theater titles.
  • Filter movies and TV shows by genre, year, country of origin, original language and TMDB score.
  • Open a title to see its cast, crew, seasons, official trailer and age rating.
  • Check where a title is available to stream, rent or buy in a chosen country.
  • Save titles to a list kept in your own browser, and compare two titles side by side.

Where the information comes from

Titles, descriptions, images, cast, crew, scores and release data come from The Movie Database (TMDB), a community-built database. This website uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.

Streaming, rental and purchase availability is supplied by JustWatch through TMDB. Trailers are official videos hosted on YouTube.

Scores shown on WatchFilms are TMDB user scores. WatchFilms does not publish its own ratings or reviews, and it does not change or invent any of the data it shows. When TMDB has no information for a field, the field is left out.

What WatchFilms does not do

WatchFilms does not host, stream, embed, upload or distribute movies or TV episodes, and it does not link to unauthorized copies. The “Watch Now” button only appears when a link to a title’s official page on a legitimate streaming service has been verified for your selected country. WatchFilms is not affiliated with TMDB, JustWatch or any streaming service.

There are no user accounts, no advertising and no analytics trackers on the site at this time.

Who runs WatchFilms

WatchFilms is an independent project operated from Morocco. It is not part of any studio, distributor or streaming company.
